It is not a joke - Techland is going to release Claw 2, in polish, of course. I asked them about rights, i mean whether they got them or not, but Michal Rainert didnt answer me directly Very Happy

New claw will be in 3D. Go there:

scroll down and find "Zobacz galerię z gry KAPITAN PAZUR 2 (PC)" - there are some screenshots. We don t know, when it will be released. Anyway, it's awesome that i'll be able to play Claw 2.

Actually I heard that they are going to release Claw 2 in poland, but in other countries, the game with english instead of polish will carry name "Jack, the Pirate Cat".

It looks like a kind of fantasy world. I wonder what the story is (if there's any)

I'd love to play it in Polish. I might not understand anything, but I like listening to languages I can't understand.

The funny thing is that they've been working on the levels for some time now, yet there's no real storyline yet. All we know is that it takes place 10 years after the original Claw and that we won't see any characters from the first part. Apparently for copyright reasons. And they say they'd be shipping the game in a few months...

Welcome back by the way, that's quite a lot of posts today for this pretty much dead forum!

Well almost all the characters in Claw die, so it's no wonder they didn't use them.
That means on the other hand that Claw's crew will be gone too. So I guess they'd tell why his crew dissapered. (spelling?)

While I can understand Techland getting rid of the enemies Claw had already defeated, and even Claw's crew, they seem to have cut virtually all ties to the previous game, which is not quite what I expected.

I doubt anything will be explained in the story. Zuczek has asked Techland's product manager a few questions, one of them about the possibility of story continuity between the two games. The answer was that the first part's storyline had been quite vague and it would have been difficult to explain everything that had happened with each character during ten years' time.

Well, that is an excuse, but doesn't a sequel to Claw deserve better than that?

if they dont put anyone from the original Claw except Claw himself they can make a plot that happens about 150 years later where Claw rules over most of the world and his looking for someone to inherit the emulet because his going to die soon,and then we play as a pirate and the bosses in most levels are other pirates that are trying to eliminate us so that they will ge the emulet.
the pirates background can be a lot of diffrent cool things P:

i think its batter that you will make Claw 2 and call it ''fan made'' and thats it :X

Maybe you tried downloading it from english version of site - go to polish one, there are no broken links.

I got some information that Techland backed out from relesaing Claw 2 - maybe there will be game similar to Claw (collecting treasure and killing enemies), but I'm sure it won't be Captain Claw anymore. Sad
