My new level is finished. It's called Dark Paths, and I think it's probably my best so far. It has a total of 45 items of treasure, a perfect score isn't hard at all.

Comments, please? Wink

Wrong. I downloaded the level at about 7 AM and played it at about 3 PM. :P

Can't say much about the level right now. Being not familiar with it yet, I'm losing lives on a regular basis. From what I saw in the editor though, it's not only a very nicely done level, but a really unique one. Unlike most levels, it's not about collecting tons of treasure or fighting entire hordes of enemies, but the main challenge is to get out of the forest. It's not easy by any means as the whole level is a maze (reminds me of the area between SP1 and SP2 in the original level 4, this one is much more complicated though) and finding the right way alone can be a challenge even for an experienced Claw player. I've been a little busy these days, but soon I'll give the level another try.

Finally took the time to play it. And I loved it Very Happy Especially like the 1 skull, 2 crowns, 3 geckos etc... Levels tend to be packed with treasure, in this one every single piece of treasure is worth dying for, even coins. The enemies were annoying, but that only goes to add to the difficulty and overal 'mysteriousness' of the level. Empty crates, an abandoned feeling, dense growth, it gives a very eerie feeling,

Great work on this one! Smile I loved it!

Only one point of contructing critics: Near the end (when you're about to fall down to where the Bossfight warp is), when you stand on the tree, you can walk to the right, and end up getting stuck in that endless fall. (11870,4490)
(I'm the kind of geek that tries everything and for that reason ends up dying a lot XD)

Thanks for your kind words. I did put a lot of effort into getting the ambience right. TTOK was a cool level, but in my opinion it was rather crowded and had too much treasure and too many enemies. That's not really what a forest should feel like.

That's just the beginning. As the level progresses it gets far more linear and a lot less maze-like. That's my style of designing; I put a lot of time and effort into the first part of the level, and then lose interest and rush the ending.
