I noticed for like the past 10 hours or so (I wasn't checking all that time though lol) that the main site is down... maybe it's getting updated? The mostly likely story though is that Monolith had to shutdown it's server for awhile...
I did a WhoIs lookup, and it appears that captainclaw.com will expire in 2007...

So we defiantely need to redirect people here as much as possible until now and then
BTW is this site (Gunner's Forum) in Google? (Belated Claw fansite too?) That would help some |

Monolith's server is occasionally down for maintenance, captainclaw.com will probably be back up in a day or so.
Yeah, both this forum and my site are on Google. _________________ http://claw.ben-ts.net -- The Belated Claw Fansite

Best not to forget to make backups of all the downloads available on the claw site?
Especially wapworld.
P.S. Gunner's site doesn't exactly show up in my google searchresults. However, if you search on "captain claw levels" mine pops up nearly the first. Just in case I'll replace the link of the claw forum with this forum's link. It might as well help. _________________ http://www.geocities.com/captainclawslair

True. I mostly stay there for humour value and to redirect Claw players here. _________________ http://claw.ben-ts.net -- The Belated Claw Fansite

Still saddens me Monolith doesn't care after Claw anymore, and will let the site vanish. Dispite all the new games these days I still find Claw amusing to play with a rather good storyline, and the ambience is just perfect.
I'd like to thank this community for trying to keep it alive, so, thank you

Hmm.. Yes.. They should see how big and important Claw actually has become to us but I guess they wouldn't... But as long it's not totally abandoned, I'm happy... _________________ PROKOFIEV IS HOT! <3 |

The lead programmer of Claw, known as Scorpio, isn't working for Monolith anymore... I think it all began to fall when he left. |

Aavishkar, I would strongly suggest changing your avatar.
Remember what it was like when there was actually Claw discussion about custom levels etc on the old board. Those were the days. _________________ http://claw.ben-ts.net -- The Belated Claw Fansite

The best was when people entered and asked questions.. Mostly the same questions but it was still great... _________________ PROKOFIEV IS HOT! <3 |

I think the 'how do I beat Aquatis' threads were merely a way of boosting off claw knowledge, everybody wanted to post in those threads the first xD
Uhrm anyway. Not a chance to get back in touch with this Scorpio fellow? Would be amusing if he joined this forum, if just for the heck of it. _________________ http://www.geocities.com/captainclawslair

He, Garret Price and Bryan Bouwman founded HipSoft in 2002
www.hipsoft.com
Here's an interview with him from 2004

Brian Goble made some good stuff, and not just Claw. Blood is a fun shooter (too bad it has attracted a community of dickheads), and Gruntz isn't bad either.
Should one of us try the email addresses on the Hipsoft site to see if we can get into contact with him? _________________ http://claw.ben-ts.net -- The Belated Claw Fansite

I'd say it's worth a shot. Hell, perhaps we could persue HIM to judge between Teo's levels and mine xD _________________ http://www.geocities.com/captainclawslair
