Let's see how much we know about claw.
You may post your questions in this thread.
Answers can be posted in this thread too.
My Questions Are:
1.Which Non-Boss enemy(ies) has the most damaging attack(In terms of health Claw loses in one strike)?
2.What is the maximum score on level 8 if you don't kill any Bear Sailors?
3.How can you make Gabriel shoot himself(with his cannon) without re-orienting his cannon(by hitting the switch).(Hint:Cheats Allowed)
4.What happens if you hit Omar with a magic claw when his shields are on?
5.Which way(s) of killing a Tiger Guard is both fast and inexpensive? _________________ By

It's almost been an year since I last played Claw - shocking, yeah, I know - but here goes nothing:
1) BearSailor, hands down. But then again, it's not his strike that's dangerous, it's the grab. Most dangerous striker in the game .... that would have to be either the Merpeople or the crabs. Must be crabs. I hate 'em.
2) I'm ashamed to admit that have no friggin' idea.
3) Here's how I think this works:
MPJORDAN cheat > increases Ol' Nathaniel's jump height > jump up to Gabby's platform > stand in front of gabby > Cannon fires at you > you duck > Gabby goes AAAAAHHH!
4) Nuthin'. The friggin' Land-Lubber gets hit but takes no damage.
5) Pick 'em up and fling 'em down on their arses. _________________ Carcharodon Carcharias

1) I would say that Tigerguard is also dangerous - when he jumps on us, it takes 20 points, while when Bear Sailor strangles us and we do our best to get out from his hands, we lose only 14 points. Anyway, without our help to Claw, Bear Sailors are the proper answer here.
2) I dont know, but I have got one idea how to answer it. You can opet retail08 in WapWorld and delete every objects with Logic "Bear Sailor", and then load this level as a custom level and play
3) You dont need to cheat. You can use red catnip which is situated before the Boss Warp, a bit far away, but it's long so you should be able to jump to Gabriel, throw him down and wait until he kills himself with his own weapon.
4) He jsut bends down for a while, but doesnt lose his energy.
5) Using Magic Claw, i think - I always have 99 on the start and if i used one spell on each Tiger, I would have a lot of for Lord Omar's fight, after all _________________ In malayalam - Ngan ninne snaehikkunnu ;*

My Answers Are:
1. I would say the big Bear Sailor. If you get too close and he grabs you, you're finished. He can easily drain about 40 health if you don't get out quick.
2. I honestly couldn't tell ya.
3. Hmmm... don't know. You could use mpjordan, jump up there, grab him and throw him down. Grab him again and throw his butt into the water. You could just do it that way.
4. I forget, but maybe it either does nothing or gets reflected back at you.
5. If you have plenty left, dynamite. _________________ Looking for answers? Don't look at me. I ain't got em! |

Dynamite has no effect on tiger guards (you might have forgotten about that having not played the game for ten years) |

D'oh! I guess not playing or getting there for ten years can affect memory. I do remember that they are a pain in the ass. That much I know. _________________ Looking for answers? Don't look at me. I ain't got em! |

Answers:
1:It is the Bear Sailor,he takes about 30 health in one hug for me.
2:Yes,use wapworld and delete all bear sailors, run level, type MPSCULLY,read the number of treasure pieces of each type (x OF y on the screen) do some arithmetic and it can be found quite easily.
3:Get the red catnip/MPJORDAN, jump up,pick the idiot up throw him down and wait up there, his cannon will automatically fire at him periodically and eventually kill him.
4:It restores Omar's Health.
5:Pick the bastard up and throw him into a nearby lava pool. _________________ By

That's not entirely accurate, since you can score more than perfect in level 8.

Speaking of Tiger guards and Bear sailors, I would say that the Tiger guards were the harder ones because even though you loose more health on the Bearsailors they are easier to kill (in my opinion of course)
About the suicide thing. I was wondering if the fishes could drown (spelling), if they accedently jumped into that water that takes away your life. _________________ PROKOFIEV IS HOT! <3 |

I found a (somewhat) simpler way to deal with the Tiger guards. If you are below them and can jump up to the level they are on, you can get in a sword shot. But you guys probably already knew that. _________________ Looking for answers? Don't look at me. I ain't got em! |

Now wait just one cotton-pickin' minute! Magic Claws restore Omar's health? I didn't know that. How come I didn't know that? _________________ Carcharodon Carcharias

Because you never tried?
Ah, is that what the brown townguards say? I never understood really...
Took me a while to understand they were saying "Everything's in order here"
Still don't know a few white townguard lines. _________________ http://www.geocities.com/captainclawslair

In question 2.4 fishes aren't a quite correct answer, for it's assumed that there are no water bodies nearby.
And we should add Gabriel here: he can both shoot at himself and blast himself by throwing cannonballs into a wall in front of him.
As for storing a warp in an enemy, you must also give one of the powerup fields the value 32.
To my mind, the easiest and inexpensive non-cheat way to kill a TigerGuard is using FireSword, FrostSword, of LightningSword. But if there are none nearby, it's "Jump Slash - Throw - Jump Slash - Throw".
I've got a question I don't know the answer to: what do TigerGuards say when picked up?
Here're other questions:
1) How can you place a Vertwarp taking to a given location in an enemy? How to store a warp in a crate?
2) What expressios of Claw's idleness irritation can be placed as Sound Triggers? |
