Thanks to Mahesh's referal, I've joined this forum. I started playing Claw in 1998 and have made some customs for the fans. I go back to the days of Meezo, Scorpio, Finn, Rich, Eugenio, Claw Jr and of course, Mahesh; just to name a few. There are many others also who were active on the forum at that time, of which we had alot of fun and I have many fond memories. So, after many years, I'd like to say hello again. Perhaps some of you have heard from some of these previous members?

(Don't worry everyone...spam problem under control)

We've had a few oldies register (Mahesh and Meezo) although neither of them post regularly.

Glad to be back. I'll try to check in on a regular basis. Perhaps we all can try to get some of the oldtimers back occasionally.......anybody know how to get in touch with them?......how about starting with Finn? I think I can find Rich......he has a business making artsy pens in Pennsylvania. I'll research it.

From what I see on the members list, Finn's here already...

Although it may be an imposter Shocked

edit: BTW I always wondered, why is it a Lord of the Rings theme for a Claw forum?

Blame The Gunner for the LotR theme xD As for getting back in touch with other oldtimers, I once or twice managed to get in touch with Fangs, although that was a while back. I can still try and see if he wants to join.

Oh and Randy, do you actually still play Claw?

Perhaps, if someone gives me the email of this alleged Finn, I can ask a few questions to see if he is the real Finn.

I haven't played Claw for a few years(so I would be really rusty), ever since I built a new PC with WinXP Pro. I had it up and running with CLaw briefly, but after reloading the OS again, I never got it going again and forgot what to do to get Claw to play with that OS.

For getting Claw to work on WinXP there's a guide here from the old forum.

Ok, I kept my word.......got Claw installed and played your customs. My favorites were Treasure Hunt and LaRoca's Wrath, both of which I found very entertaining......great job!

Wow, that's two levels I never expected to ever be labeled as favorites xD Canyon Refuge is my best in my opinion, followed by DHOT and Claw be Jammed.

(Heck, I still think the way I made the final boss fight in DHOT is great xD If anyone ever makes it that far)

But nothing can pwnage THIS: http://www.geocities.com/captainclawslair/DzjeeAr.jpg

Don't mind the 'i rule' part at the end xD

*Finds himself bragging a bit too much, zips it*

Zuczek: Why did you think the level was named "DzjeeAr" ? XD

Having a level that spells out your name is badass. How did you get all the letters the right size?

Here's Blackout. I tried to do a bit of decorating in case anyone took a map shot of it. There are no objects visible because the editor would crash when I tried to take a map shot with objects (and small wonder, there are 10,332 of them). Looking bad, I don't think Blackout was my best, but it was still an OK level.

Just great, I LOVE my internet. Was just done posting a big post, my internet decides to crash, post lost. *Sigh*

*types it again*

Zuczek > Come on, I aint THAT lame xD

Xero > I have that myself, Xero, one period I'm working on Claw levels, the other on levels for some other game. While ago I made about 11 new levels for Dungeon Keeper (already have 60 + of them), right now though mostly working on HOMM 3 and Settlers 3 maps. I might get back into claw some day.

CG > I don't think black out looked bad at all, I just personally rarely go for ormanents claw can't reach (except for the I RULE part in DzjeeAr). The crashing due to too much objects I had as well, in Woods of Loss. But oddly enough not in the bigger level DHOT.

Does anyone think it shows a lot of resemblance with the first, basic plan I made for it? http://www.geocities.com/captainclawslair/DHOT.JPG

As for the letters, I basicly made the frame work first to keep them at the right height and see how much space I had for each letter, then make the basic shape and work around it a bit. I didn't intend for DzjeeAr to look all splendid and nicely worked actually, moreso rough and chaotic a bit.

I was planning to make a revised version of it, only in level 13 and a bit more loose style opposed to the original block letters of level 3 DzjeeAr.

http://www.geocities.com/captainclawslair/dzjee2.JPG

I never finished it though, might do some day.
